Jakarta Visa Category
Indonesian Immigration Authorities are incredibly flexible and offer a variety of visa options for foreign nationals who have travel plans to enter Indonesia. Visas can be categorised into:
Visit Visas: Such as Visa Exemption (for special nationalities/diplomatic visa) & the Visa on Arrival for international travellers that are planning to enter Indonesia for short tourist visits.
Additional Visit Visas include: Single Entry Visas and the Multiple Entry Visa, which allows the foreign citizens multiple entries within Indonesia. The visa applicant can have their visa remain valid for 12 months if they apply for this type of visa.
Temporary Stay Permits (KITAS): Foreign nationals require a sponsor and allow visa applicants multiple entries within Indonesia. They come in a variety of types to suit each situation including: Work, Spouse, Investor, Dependent, Retirement, to name a few.
Permanent Stay Permits (KITAP): The Indonesian government is very keen to rewards long standing expatriates and under immigration law introduced a 5-year visa for those that wish to stay long term. All KITAP visas can be extended and include a re-entry permit. KITAP types include, Working, Investor, Spouse and Retirement.
