Family Sponsored KITAS (Family Sponsored Visa) – Who is it for and what are the benefits

The Family Sponsored KITAS is a visa that specifically helps individuals who are the child of mixed married couples. It allows them to live in Indonesia with a 1-year validity.

Additionally, this visa allows the holder to convert to a KITAP and as with all KITAS, the visa is extendable with a multiple entry permit.

Steps to get your family sponsored KITAS

1. Application of E-Vitas C317
2. Upon the arrival to Indonesia, the foreigner is required to drop the original passport to our office
3. E-vitas to KITAS conversion at the local immigration office
4. Attend the biometric and fingerprint session
5. KITAS completion with the E-KITAS along with multiple entry re-entry permit

Common questions

Is this visa the same as a Repatriation KITAS?

Although quite similar, these visa types are different. The Repatriation KITAS is for ex Indonesian citizens, whereas this visa is for mixed children born of Indonesian and foreign parents.

What is the difference between this and a dependent KITAS?

The dependent KITAS is for dependents (husband, wife, children) following a sponsored family member.

Can this visa be converted into a KITAP?

Yes, it can.
